Paisclayco started as a creative hobby in 2020. I was a recent college graduate (2019) and was grappling with the looming question: “Is the corporate world my life now?” Plus, throwing a pandemic in the mix was a perfect storm for chaos.  

I was 23 and needed a way to understand this new chapter. I also finally had the courage to begin processing my mom’s death. She battled with severe bipolar depression, and we unexpectedly lost her in 2017. 

Creating clay jewelry became a therapeutic outlet - truly one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made for my mental health, my grieving self, and my future self. I was taught to love accessories from a young age, so DIY-ing outfits and basically anything creative was always an outlet for me. Think handmade headbands to scrapbooks to dorm room decor - I probably did it. 

It’s really a profound thing to realize how much my business has healed me, and learn a new mindset about abundance and entrepreneurship.
